The Eclipse is coming! I’m so excited for it. I’ve always wanted to see a total eclipse. Unfortunately, I won’t be in an area where I can see the total eclipse, but I will be able to see a partial one. Monday morning, I’m heading out to the library to go to their viewing event. Free solar eclipse glasses FOR THE WIN!
“Coincidentally” my upcoming book, Prince of the Sun, Princess of the Moon features a solar eclipse as a main plot point. I don’t have a release date yet, but this is too good a chance to pass up. So to celebrate, I’ll be disclosing the tentative book blurb and perhaps post an excerpt from the book.
Hopefully, I’ll remember to take good pictures of the eclipse to post here, too. I’m so excited! XD
So I’ve started to prepare for the release of my book . . . just doing research and planning what to post about, where to go, people to speak to–things like that. To that end, I tried to think about things I could post on instagram that will connect with my teen girl readers.
For instance, some adorable diy galaxy jewelry I remember watching a tutorial on.
That set me off on so many ideas I could tie in to my book’s theme! Cute diy bleach moon shirts. Pretty diy galaxy notebooks. Maybe I could make some to use as giveaways during my launch party! I was so excited thinking about it all!
Then the doubts kicked in.
“That’s not how book promotion is done.”
“No one’s going to want to see that.”
“You’re doing it wrong.”
It’s daunting. But I won’t give up. Maybe it’ll work, maybe it won’t. But it won’t be for lack of trying.
So go away doubts! Sink or swim, I’m not listening to you anymore!
